SAM Dana, one of my two favorite girls in the comic, is, as Nicki's notes show, terribly cute. I also love the use of the word "boobular," which the spell-checker in front page is underlining in red. I really have to learn HTML so I can do this myself without the stigma of microsoft products. And even MICROSOFT isn't recognized by the spell-checker. I hate loot. I really do. I'm speaking of loot in MMORPGs, actually. Games like Final Fantasy XI, World of Warcraft, Ragnarok Online... having entire economies in games that flux up and down, certain armors and weapons and rings and helmets and gauntlets and boots and items and cards and materials and leathers and cloths and ARGH. That's why I love City of Heroes. The only covetable item in the game that isn't available in stores are hammi-o's, which are power enhancements that do two things in one slot. They're given out to heroes that contribute to the downfall of Hamidon, a gigantic amoeba that takes 75-150 max level heroes and 2-3 hours to take down. And they're level specific, so they can only be sold to heroes within 5 levels of the enhancement's level. And heroes at that level don't need any more influence (money) anyway. All the other enhancements are readily available in stores that you can go to anytime in the game (the higher-level enhancements are unlocked by doing one mission) and are given away by defeating enemies. There's no monster camping, either, except for six giant monsters (Kraken, Adamastor, Babbage, Jurassik, Lusca and the Paladin) and one event (Ghost ship) that drops off monsters that lead to a badge if you defeat x amount of them. And heroes are generally cool with you joining in on fighting them. Okay, that's enough ranting from me. Next week: Erin! -SAM she walked in with her alligator sister, trying to get to heaven on sunday. |
