See, I told you all it would be tall! I wasn't quite sure how to go about this one layout wise, and I'm still not satisfied with it, since I think the natural line of sight goes to the top of the bottom right panel instead of to the middle of the bottom left panel, but hey, you want it done right or you want it done today?

Today marks a momentous milestone for the comic, because it has officially gone through TWO issues going live on the test server in the game City of Heroes. An "issue" is the comic-book term for a new (Free!) expansion pack. Issue 1 included new zones to explore and a higher level cap, issue 2 brought in Capes and Auras for costume options and more content to explore, Issue 3 introduced new epic archetypes that unlocked once you had a character that hit the level cap, Issue 4 allowed Player vs. player combat in the Arenas and also had some anime-inspired costume options. Now, Issue 5 is live and brings four new powersets: Trick Arrows (such as glue arrows, ice arrows, net arrows) that affect bad guys, Archery (regular arrows) that hurt bad guys, Sonic Debuff (sonic force fields) that protect players and trap enemies, and Sonic Blast (howl, wail, scream) that damages bad guys. This is the first time that the developers have offered new powersets right off the bat to new heroes, and already there's a big influx of people flooding the test server. It's a bad day to be a villain in the newbie zones today. There's also a new zone to fight in, and, of course, plenty of nerfs. A "nerf" takes its name from the idea of the developers taking a player's sword and replacing it with a nerf bat. A change for the worse, in other words. Controllers and Tankers are the hardest hit. But, the archetype that I play, Defenders, aren't really changed at all this update. So I'm reasonably happy.

I'm also about to hit the level cap. I'm level 46 of 50. So I'm also happy about that.

As you can tell, it was hard to tear myself away to get the comic up today. =)
