So there's a Foster's Freeze around here. Really it's attached to an El Pollo Loco, as most Foster's Freezes are. But the El Pollo Loco is in the same parking lot as the restaurant that my Mom and I go to every Friday, Pomodoro Cucina Italiana. So after a great veal, beef and pork tortellini in parmesan cream sauce dinner for me, I figure, hey, why not get some Foster's Freeze? I mean, I like iced cream as much as the next guy, and it's right next door, practically. Just a 2 minute drive away. So I say to my Mom, "Hey, let's get some Foster's Freeze!" to which she replies "NO! Let's get frozen yogurt from Golden Spoon! It's fewer calories and non-fat!"

Now, the problem with that is that Golden Spoon is on the other side of town. Other side of town is not convenient anymore. It stops being convenient after about 2 minutes of driving, which would have happily gotten us to the Foster's Freeze. But, it's my Mom, so I indulge her and we go over to Golden Spoon.

So they've got 10 fantastic flavors, and so my Mom gets a large blueberry cheesecake and double vanilla mixed, and I follow up with a large peanut butter and double vanilla. And lo, for it was good. So I picked up a quart for this week at home of double vanilla.

I bet you're probably asking how any of this was newsworthy and not better served in an online journal or something. Well, odds are, probably 2 or 3 people out there in the world know exactly what I mean. So to them, high five!
